Questions about pricing

Is BudjetBuddy really free?
Yes. The free plan has no clock and needs no card. It includes the full 50/30/20 budget, unlimited income entries, the payday checklist, category limits, bill reminders, the weekly digest and up to 30 expense entries per month, all stored on your device. It does not expire. Premium is a separate, optional upgrade, and the 7-day trial only applies if you choose to start one.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your subscription starts and your store charges you for the first month. We send you an email and a notification about two days beforehand with the exact date and the exact amount, so a charge never arrives out of nowhere. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing. And if you never start a trial at all, nothing changes: you stay on the free plan for as long as you like.
What happens when I hit the 30 expense limit?
Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. You just can't add another expense until the next calendar month, unless you upgrade. Income entries are always unlimited. One thing worth knowing: bills you tick off on the payday checklist count toward the 30 as well.
Do I need Premium to share a budget with my partner?
Only one of you does. The person who creates the household needs Premium, and everyone they invite rides on it for free. Joining a household costs nothing, so a couple only ever needs a single subscription.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data stays yours. Your budget lives on your device, so cancelling doesn't delete anything. You simply return to the free plan limits. CSV and PDF export stay available on the free plan, so your numbers are never held hostage, and if you created a household it becomes read-only rather than disappearing.
How do I cancel?
Premium is billed through your Google Play or App Store account, so you cancel it there in your store subscription settings, the same as any other app. It stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Is the yearly plan worth it?
$49.99 a year works out to about $4.17 a month, so you save roughly two months compared with paying monthly. If you're unsure, start monthly and switch later. Nothing is lost either way.

Start free. Decide later.

Build your first budget in a few minutes, and upgrade only if you actually need to.
