Delete your account
You can permanently delete your BudjetBuddy account and all associated data at any time, directly from the app.
Delete from within the app
- Open BudjetBuddy and sign in.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm Delete my account. Your account and all data are erased immediately and permanently.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, with no recovery:
- Your profile (name, email) and login credentials
- All budgets, transactions, categories and checklist items
- All trackers: loans, credit cards, investments, emergency fund and reminders
- Any receipt images you scanned (removed from our storage)
- Your cloud backup, if you used Premium sync
What is kept
Nothing personal is retained after deletion. We do not keep a copy of your budgets, transactions or receipts. Limited, non-identifying records required by law or for fraud prevention (for example, a subscription payment record held by Google Play or Apple) are governed by those providers, not by BudjetBuddy.
Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app or clear its data. Account deletion additionally erases everything held on our servers.
Can't access the app?
If you can no longer sign in, message us and we will delete your account and data on request. Please write from the email address on the account.
